Running Towards the Sun: A Retrospective Exhibition
In this exhibition, the Chaos and Portraits series make visible the dialectical relationship between destruction and transformation. The Chaos series, shaped by war, terrorism, natural disasters, and the damage humanity inflicts on nature, draws attention to the destructive effects of capitalism that threaten life and peace. The Portraits series, on the other hand, centers on women figures who have left their mark in the fields of art, science, and politics, defying boundaries. These portraits, which are inverted over time, question whether transformation is possible through a change in perspective. On the upper floor, the intertwined images of chaos and portraits, while showing only destruction in the darkness, create a space of confrontation and enlightenment with the human faces that become visible in the light. Thus, despite all despair, the exhibition reminds the viewer of the power of change, awareness, and existence.
